Painting II
Please refer to Canvas this year for schedule & assignments.
Painting is a quarter-long class dedicated to extending student knowledge of different painting techniques. Students are expected to be familiar with basic color theory, color schemes, and tempera & watercolor techniques. In Painting II, students will continue using values to create realistic objects, how to create distance in a landscapes, and introduce new painting techniques based on our art history study of Impressionism & Post-Impressionism from the late 1800s.
*A spiral-bound sketchbook or notebook is required for this class. I recommend taking this class following Painting I and Drawing. |
